About Us

At Fultz Sign Co., we're a company with over 85 years of experience providing signs to the people of Lima, OH, and the surrounding areas. Founded in 1929 by Eugene Fultz, the grandfather of our current owner Chris Fultz, the business started out as a lumber company. As time went on, however, we started employing more and more sign painters, branching out from wood sign manufacture to local school bus and ambulance painting.

Following a fire in which the lumber mill was destroyed, Eugene's son Don Fultz converted the company to a full-time sign business. Though all the work was done by free hand for most of the next two decades, the advent of computers in the 1990s modernized the process. The business was taken over by Chris and his wife Evelyn, who became the third generation of the Fultz family to be in charge of the company.

Today, the company remains a thriving family business, with Chris and Evelyn still manning the helm, with help from son-in-law Shane Cash and nephew Nick Mayer, the fourth generation of the Fultz family to work here. Between Shane's management of the computer design aspects of the company and Nick's expertise in building and installing wood signs, we're confident that Northwestern Ohio will enjoy.
